Marcos Gil is a film composer, producer and bassist with over 20 years of experience in the music industry.
After graduating from music school, Marcos began working as a session bassist in his hometown of Buenos Aires, recording and touring with a wide range of local artists. Parallel to his session work, Marcos started to make a name of himself as Producer and Recording Engineer which encouraged him to found Manitu recording studios in 2004.
During his years as head producer and manager at Manitu studios, he recorded and produced many records, worked with local independent labels and started his career as a composer by writing music for advertising campaigns.
Marcos relocated to Sydney in 2010 where he continued his work as touring musician and bass tutor. Since completing a Master’s certificate in Composition for Film and TV from Berklee College of Music, Marcos continues to compose music of all genres for film and television.
